I want to clean the K & N air filter in my car, its a 2007 Ford Ikon, probably unheard of outside India. Point being, none of the shops here have the air filter cleaning kit. Is there any home grown and effective way to take care of this? Also, is

Your engine's air filter should not get wet merely from going through a car wash, and it would dry out on it's own even if it did.
