I have a 1990 Mazda 626 and it won't retain heat while moving. If I leave the car to idle, it will heat up, defrost and be fine inside, but as soon as I start to drive, the thermostat in my dash shows a rapid loss of engine heat and the air coming through
You need to check to see if there is a thermostat in the engine. that is the heat gage or engine temp gage you are looking at. If your temp fluctuate that much you can bet you thermostat is bad or absent!
