Depending on how much you can do yourself, could range from $5 000 to $20 000. You are probably looking at using a renesis with an rx-8 transmission. Any other rotary will be pretty similar, but have more aftermarket solutions to some of your problems.

This week has been lots of exciting engine bay cleaning (oooooh) and motor work in swapping '97 parts onto this '99 motor (ahhhh). Very photogenic.

Normally these things are black and coated with shit on the inside. This one? Well, you can see. You can still see the engine casting. CLEAN. it's incredible.
I've been trying to crack as few seals on this motor as possible - especially the fuel rail. My experience with the dual feed fuel rail on the supercharger scared me for life.
I had to remove the fuel rail to get the FPR (seen here) on. F()#@K($!!!!!!!
