Central Heating - has anyone put a full system in them selves?

We have a 40 year old 2 storey house which has the original Husqvarna oil fired boiler warm air heating (heating*1*1** ho ho ho) unit which just warms the air in a brick boiler cupboard and the warm air goes out of 3 ground floor only vents purely by

Just recently, my gas boiler went the way of all gas boilers,so i got a quote to 'Supply & fit" a boiler ВЈ1,700 which i explained was 'way over the top'...got a boiler for ВЈ700 and fitted it myself, and it was checked by a 'Gas Safe (Corgi)
