I recently bought a 65 Impala SS that does not have it's original engine. What I do know is that it is a 350 Chevy small block with the following info 'raised' on top of the bellhousing: "GM 57LGSGI" and on the other side is "14093638".
Assuming those numbers are embossed and stamped on the block above the bell housing mounting surface, they are in fact the exact pieces of information to take to your local Chevrolet dealership - give them a few days to work on it ( please do not expect
