1990 4runner engine noise!?
3.0 v6 supossedly rebuilt. at 2000 to 3000 rpms it makes a rattle noise almost like a rod bear, yet like maybe the top end. it doesnt make any noise until it warms up! when it idles it sounds normal! i drained some oil to check it for metal, found none.
first hold throttle at 2500 rpms then let off quickly thenhit throttle again about 3or 4 times if you hear knocking someone needs to listen under truck in park with wheels blocked safety first use a real long screw driver up to your hear touching the
