What is in yogurt starter? I want to make homemade yogurt but I don't want to use grocery store yogurt or buy the starter stuff online. I was thinking of just buying probiotics and using that, would that work?

Just use a high-quality plain (preferably whole milk) yogurt that has live cultures in it. If you can buy probiotics, you could try that.
