I have a 30 ft Tarten sailboat with an Atomic 4 engine and I am having an overheating problem. I changed the impeller and pulled the heads. I have a good flow of water through the engine and changed the thermostate. Any ideas?
These engines are getting very ancient. If it's raw water cooled (and most of them were), the problem is surely corrosion on the internal passages of the engine. Pull the exhaust manifold - you may be able to work an air hose and a wire coat hanger
