Can you make an auto engine using gun powder as a combustiant?

Just wondering.

In theory you could, but it would be very difficult to inject the same amount of powder consistently into the cylinders, along with metering the air. Plus the damage to the internal moving parts of the engine would probably be pretty severe unless you
